my friend dana has set up up with language learning software for dutch, swedish, and german. she says dutch is at the top of her list, so i am going to try and focus on that first.
i finally got around to making yogurt cheese and have now been compulsively making a new batch each day. the process is very simple and after the 24 hour wait you find that you have a round ball of smooth white cheese that tastes like something between cream cheese and goat cheese. i like to mix mine with green onions and cilantro and spread it on multigrain crackers with ripe tomato chunks.

over the past few weeks i have been bombarded by memories recent and long gone of moments i wish had never happened, things i would rather have not said and things that could have been left undone. at least 2-3 times a day i find myself harassed by some regrettable memory which i have to freshly forgive myself for and move on. it is becoming a burden. why are all of these thought surfacing with such frequency right now? why am i reviewing all of my embarrassments?
this quarter of calculus is going very poorly. this is partially due to the quality of the teaching staff, but my pisspoor work ethic is probably making some contribution. HELP, YIFAT! i need to get motivated.. right now. i had a test today that was completely guessing. i tried to study, but i am so far behind and unpracticed that hardly anything sunk in.
